Services
The services of Noorderlink are mostly aimed at exchanging knowledge, expertise and best-practices between the participating organisations. It also seeks to increase the mobility of the employees of the participating organisation.

Some of the activities Noorderlink engages in:
Courses: trainings aimed at management in the field of leadership, policy advice and project management
Tasting events: at tasting events, the opportunity is offered to the HRM and managers to ‘taste’ hrm-trainings so as to see whether a certain training or mode of working would be suited for implementation within their own organisation.
Younglink: network for Young Professionals that work or graduate at one of the Noorderlink partners.
Projectlink: ProjectLink supports the personal development and professionalism of project managers in the Noorderlink by offering projects beyond their own organisation, developing a common offering in trainings and organising network meetings.
Coachlink: provides an overview of coaches that work at organisations that collaborate in Noorderlink which can also be consulted outside of their own organisation.

Besides that, Noorderlink strives to keep highly educated personnel in the North, or to attract people to the North by promoting it as an attractive environment to work and live in.

Collaboration
Noorderlink is focused on collaboration. Each organisation can autonomously decide on its own personnel policy. However they underline the power of collaboration and will transfer knowledge and share expertise and experiences. All participating organisations are expected to actively contribute to products that have and will be developed.
Noorderlink isn’t itself legally constituted, but the collaborating organisations engage in a partnership and commonly sign a declaration of intent. Because of that, they are, within the frameworks of policy as agreed upon, all legally responsible for the dealings of Noorderlink.
Noorderlink chooses professionalism. That is why it has a Governing bureau to initiate, organise and combine activities.

Organisation

The collaborating organisations are represented by the directors/chiefs of P&O, that together form the General Board of Directors. Out of their midst a Board of Directors in charge of daily affairs is chosen. This board has 5 members and is chosen for a period of 2 years.
The General Board of Directors makes policy choices and crafts frameworks of policy (e.g. the yearly planning and the budget) and decides on the potential admittance of new members.
The Board of Directors in charge of daily affairs makes sure the organisation’s goals are guarded, plans are executed, policy is prepared and controls the Governing Bureau of Noorderlink.

Noorderlink’s strategic goals

Noorderlink has the following strategic goals:
Exchange of knowledge, expertise and best-practices in the field of HRM/HRD;
Getting mobility going and increasing the employability of personnel within the organisations collaborating in Noorderlink;
Positively positioning the North as an attractive place to work and live;
Being involved in regional society.
