The province supports the Frisian society of local authorities, companies, organisations and almost 645.000 citizens of a great number of areas, such as land, air, water, roads, culture, economy, environment and tourism. Provincial Executives form, together with the Commissioner of Her Majesty the Queen, the governance of the province.

The organisation is working with 900 employees, towards ambitious policy plans and concrete projects. It is divided in four sectors, three in the field of policy and policy execution and one in the field of corporate policy.

We are working really hard towards becoming an organisation where effectiveness, service and quality are the most important features. A governmental organisation with inspiring executives and employees who are capable to work in a dynamic environment and corporate processes that are organised in the most efficient way. In order to operate dynamically a large part of the organisation works in an innovative office environment, which will be expanded in the next couple of years. In short: an ambitious employer!
